Yesterday I had all four of my wisdom removed, because I had two impacted teeth, I had to have a full-blown surgery. Truthfully, I was scared since my mother had mounds of surgery horror stories for me. First she woke up during a surgery, and was unable to move or communicate. Then after the removal of her wisdom teeth, she had an exposed nerve and then had dry socket infection. Then during my examination before my surgery, I was told that I was a high risk case because both of my bottom wisdom teeth that were impacted, had huge facial nerves running right under them and there was a possibility of paralysis. Boy, all this right before my first surgery ever!?

So, I arrive at the hospital, check in with the receptionist , and prepare for my surgery. I had forced my mind to clear and keep myself relaxed. Everything went off without a hitch! There was only two moments that was very hard, the IV hurt like a b*tch TT3TT then waking up from the anesthetic was very scary. When I was coming out of my sleep in the recovery room, I couldn't move or open my eyes. Over the years I have a reoccurring dream of my waking up and unable to see or open my eyes and yet I have to do all this stuff like shopping or driving. Well, this was worse. Not only could I not open my eyes, but I couldn't move my body. The young female nurse that was tending to me was very kind and held my hand when I reached out a couple of times. She was wearing a clothed glove yet I could feel how soft her touch was. I understand why she couldn't stand there and continue to hold me hand since she ad so many things to do, but I am very grateful that she did anyways.

This is funny, I was tired because I woke up at 5 o'clock that morning so that helped me to relax. So I go in and they explain everything to me about what they were doing. They soon show me the anesthetic and tell me what it is and inject it in to my IV... And that is the last thing I remember hehe!! I am such a light weight! Also, when I awoke, I had an ice pack on my face called a "Jaw Bra". I had to wear it for the rest of the day and last night. I looked like a chipmunk

I feel good and happy because I am blessed since my surgery had no complications. The only pain I feel is my bottom jaw which had my impacted wisdom, and it feels like a bruise and nothing more. The IV hurt worse then this! Although, the mouthwash that I was prescribed strings from swishing, and I can't open my mouth so eating hurts too.

Oh I am doing good, and I will work hard on not getting an infection... I love the world!!!
